Stacey Keach, Scott Wilson, Ed Flanders, and Jason Miller are fabulous. This movie gets my vote for best all-time dialogue. Do yourself a favour and watch this movie before reading any reviews; you'll want to be surprised.
Trivia byte: the two lead bikers each appeared on Star Trek episodes: the one with the shades and eyeshadow in the original series; the one who played Stanley, in The Next Generation. Oh, and by the way, the argument about the improbability of molecules of such complexity being assembled by purely natual forces, doesn't hold any water at all.
