While I do vastly prefer the books, you could tell the main issue was trying to fit everything into the movie. The movie was missing a lot of the banter between Jace, Clary and Simon but it did add some things that were more interesting than the books.

While I was overall a bit disappointed, the fact that the critics are giving this an average of 12% is absolutely ridiculous. The average audience rating is at 70% which I still think is a bit low bit I can understand why for the most part.

However, the actors that were chosen fit the characters really, really well.
