Review of The Miracle of Bern (2003) by Randi S — 23 Mar 2008
Again, a German movie. This one takes place in the 50s when Germany is licking its wounds. A young boy, who is an avid soccer fan, meets his father, who was released from a Russian prisoner camp, for the first time, and the two have to build their relationship while Germany is rebuilding itself.
When Germany's soccer team then makes it to the European finals in Bern, Switzerland, the father takes his son there to bond. A wonderful tear jerker.
