Review of The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) by Felipe R — 03 Mar 2012
Purely Coen. Neo-Noir. There is an air of eerie macabre. I have seen Billy Bob Thornton in Sling Blade, which proves his acting prowess. Now this movie portrays him in taciturn cluelessness and a spineless cowardice leading to a crime after another.
Tries hard to own up to a responsibility, after feeling guilty of a crime as it happens with this genre. This movie is a retrospection of guilt, loneliness, cowardice and acceptance of fate in the end.
