This is an excellent thriller and by far Soderbergh's strongest film. The fractured narrative allows for an interesting meditation on the choices the characters make and what men mean when they speak of fate.

Also, by casting Stamp and Fonda in roles both epitomize and play off of characters that they played during the hey-day of their careers, Soderbergh is not only nodding at the past, he is also showing how (pop-culture) myths are evolved.
