Review of The Librarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice (2008) by Bobby L — 24 Nov 2009
The best of the bunch! Great villain, with smart-ish henchmen, and a new character, an older professor that Flynn looks up to. The love interest this time around is pretty original, and the fact that they use New Orleans as a backdrop adds a great sense of wonder and mystery to it all.
With ramped SFX and Jonathan Frakes (yes, Will Riker) directing with a renewed vigor, this is a great way of rounding out the series, while still allowing for more. The biggest problem I had was the opening, in which it's a recap of the first two flicks, but seemed more appropriate to start a TV show.
Bob Newhart plays a larger role here as well, and is truly awesome!
