Look if you couldn't see the satire in this film then Lego movies aren't for you. Lego loves making fun of serious things, if you see a Lego movie as a serious film just stop, and look at the theme it's portraying.
Realize how they are portraying the concept of the theme they are mocking and the whole movie becomes a really great joke.
