Review of The Last Lions (2011) by Mikhail B — 05 Feb 2012
A documentary about African lions, and a particular lioness. She has to come across a river together with her two cubs, and feed on a new prey - buffalo, and fails to do so. The episode when she had to abandon her wounded child is very hard to bear.
It's a touching story beyond simple documenting of animal life.
