Review of The King of Comedy (1982) by Easton D — 10 Mar 2009
Raging Bull is overrated. Taxi Driver is blah. Goodfellas is whatever. But I can get behind this De Niro/Scorsese picture because it's not only true to life and eerily hilarious but Mr. Greatest Actor of All Time actually does a bit of acting for once instead of that tough guy shit.
And what do you know? He's great. I wish Scorsese did this sort of thing more often (as well as After Hours). Too bad.
