If you go crazy and want to listen to everything she recorded on Youtube you'll fall in love with Karen Carpenter. This is a decent recreation of her life. Yes there are flaws and it's been constructed to be consistent with the progress of her disorder but therein lies the girl somewhere and she has a great story.

This movie is a commentary on a brother and sister act, their personal trials and the songs. The songs make the movie and the characters live for the songs.

If you want to see the price of fame, the product of genius and listen to the best of the 70's give this movie and hour and a half and you'll be entertained.
