Review of The Haunted Airman (2006) by Jennifer M — 29 Sep 2008
One creepy movie! I love all things psychological...so I was just sitting there trying to analze it and figure out what was going on with Rob, what was behind him seeing these hallucinations. I have to be honest, though--the movie itself was not as well-made as I would have hoped.
However, I was extremely impressed with Rob's performance. His portrayal of Toby Jugg was very convincing. When it comes to roles such as his--dealing with a tortured, sick person--one must be very careful as to who they cast.
Casting the wrong person could easily make a serious role into something cheesy. But I was very drawn to Rob. Both attracted and repelled by his character, actually--I felt so sorry for him, and yet was scared of him as well.
The ability to get into the mind/character of someone as complicated as Toby Jugg is very impressive. Kudos to Rob!
