Review of The Harder They Come (1972) by Floyd B — 24 Jan 2008
An immersing glimpse into another culture. The film is a well-plotted crime film from a country where capitalism has failed to bring the benefits it has brought America (maybe this is a bad political dialogue tostart, because capitalism is actually wonderful.
.. but anyway, even disagreeing with the movie politcally, it was well written). The editing is a little rough at times - a break in the 180, a sharp jump in audio - but overall, the editing is intuitive and even mesmerizing.
