The always excellent English film director, Stephen Frear's, stunning leap into American film noir. This film is delightfully dank and dark. the film has an exceptional cast with Anjelica Huston matching Angela Lansbury's brilliant performance in The Manchurian Candidate as THE mother from hell.
I LOVELOVELOVE this film.
