Review of The Golden Compass (2007) by Eric S — 15 Apr 2012

I think this was a great adaptation of the book. It was never going to be as good, since the book(s) is(are) the greatest thing(s) in the history of the world. But this movie worked. Yes, the ending was not like the ending of the first book.

But it worked fine (and I bet half you people that complain about it loved the LoTR trilogy despite the same thing). This movie had gorgeous art direction and cinematography. The acting was pretty damn good (especially Dakota and Sam).
