Review of The Go-Go Boys: The Inside Story of Cannon Films (2014) by D M — 27 Mar 2016
The story of two Israeli cousins, Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus, who developed the most powerful independent film company in the world. Cannon Film, during its 1980's heyday produced gems such as Death Wish II, Exterminator 2, Ninja III: The Domination, Missing in Action, Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo, Lifeforce, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, American Ninja, Invasion U.
S.A., Hard Rock Zombies, King Solomon's Mines, The Delta Force, Invaders from Mars, Firewalker, Masters of the Universe, Kickboxer, Cyborg, and many, many others. This documentary moves along pretty quickly and shares a lot of great information through many interviews and voice-overs detailing the cousins' 1970's rise 'til their 1990's fall.
Interesting, even for those with just a passing interest in 1980's B film.
