Review of The Gentlemen (2020) by Olympianlady — 27 Jan 2020
Now, this wasn't an artistically great movie, but I would consider it to be a rather enjoyable one. Matthew McConaughey was highly convincing in the part, with a brilliant supporting cast that is really able to sell their roles and the accompanying banter.
I would say that it's definitely not for everyone - it is something of a gangster movie - but still amounts to something like a crime comedy, which Guy Ritchie is naturally good at. It isn't something that absolutely needs to be seen immediately in the theater, for sure, but it definitely is one to catch at some point for people into movies.
