Review of The Four-Faced Liar (2010) by Chris H — 19 Jan 2011

I'm familiar with Marja due to listening to a bunch of podcasts with her, and I suspected her film might be about a lesbian (her) turning a straight girl gay, and lo and behold it was. It was less crass than the way she talks on the podcasts would have you assume though, which is good I suppose, as it went more for the romance angle instead.

She basically plays what she's like in real life here, except she's a lot more cheerful and likeable than this character. It doesn't really go anywhere, and there are a few really poor scenes, as well as a few good ones.

It all seems a bit contrived and tailoured towards Marja's fantasies and some aspects thus don't feel very realistic. Not bad, just not good.
