A sweet coming of age film with many true-to-life moments. It's not tied up in neat little epiphanies about life. Just like actually growing up, the insights come much later, years after the point of usefulness.
In the end the movie is appealing because the two stars have chemistry and are appealing, and the movie doesn't overreach.
