Review of The Evil Dead (1981) by Cem D — 22 May 2013
Sam Raimi delivers his directorial debut with this amazing and gross out horror film. Bruce Campbell leads a group of actors who take a trip to a cabin in the woods, only to become haunted and slowly possessed by a dangerous demon.
Campbell is terrific as the lead character, Ash, while the other actors also perfectly support him. The film is great to watch mainly for the special effects and to see how the story is unravelled and brought together.
With this film, Raimi proves that he is an interesting director and that he can perfectly handle the horror genre.
