Review of The Element of Crime (1984) by Iro A — 04 Mar 2008
The cinematography might be the best I've ever seen in a film, but there's no overlooking the sad excuse of a supposed avant-garde storyline. it makes literally no sense and begs the viewer to invest in it only to be disappointed.
the ending scene with a tied man dropped into the ocean after being shot is one of the most stunning shots I've ever seen though- definately a film of extremes.
