Review of The Edukators (2004) by Seyithan S — 22 Aug 2008
This was a fantastic! It took me a little bit to warm to the film, because I was initially put off the idealist, lefty politics, but it soon grabbed me, snuggled me into my sofa and was the perfect accompaniment to my big mug of chai steamer.
An original story, with great characters, a strong sense of realism, and a twist at the end. Really emotional and thought provoking, with a smattering of humour. Brilliant! Good sideburn rating: 8/10 Klaussner and Bruhl have great stubble throughout, and the higher marks are given for Daniel's, combined with his brooding looks.
Presence of sartorially elegant men: 4/10, Not great, although there's just something about Daniel's green t-shirt/jeans combination in the open air of (I presume) Bavaria, which kind of does it for me.
..odd, but true!
