Finally, a Maori film with tribal warfare complete with Maori subtitles. Lawrence Makoare was the standout throughout this film. The intensity he conveys in his character is pretty powerful stuff. Also nice to see the entire film being broadcast in Maori while reading subtitles not to mention the impressive fight sequences makes me hope we there will be more films like this.

This could be the start of many more to come. Highlights of the film: the fight between Lawrence and this attractive woman plus the fierce look in her eyes as she engages plus NZ Rugby League star Wairangi Koopu playing one of the opposing tribe's thugs.
