Review of The Dark Backward (1991) by Anthony V — 29 May 2008
The Dark Backward is a work of sick, repulsive, genius. It might be the most disgusting, off-putting film I've ever seen, but it's a work of striking originality and daring. Imagine if David Cronenberg at his most gruesome decided to pen a comedy and you have something of an idea of what this is like.
Bill Paxton gives a fascinatingly repellent performance.
