Review of The Curse of the Cat People (1944) by Daniel S — 22 Nov 2008
Superior sequel to "Cat People" explores the fantasy life of a lonely little girl, whose imaginary friend takes on an alarming figure of the past. A rare "horror" film that eschews the possibly supernatural origins of its predecessor and focuses directly on its psychological impact.
Brilliantly executed and hauntingly realized.
