Great acting done with great writing. You can't make violence look beautiful but the hints and metaphors given by the actors is great and non-stop. If you don't like acting by great actors than stick to DWTS, SNOOKI, THE KARDASHIANS and all the other "reality' crud.
You want great acting that will take you to a reality that the actors expose you to then see The Counselor. As for the negativity by some critics just remember their names so you can mark them off your list of those to heed.
