As a fan of the Cloverfield series, I loved it!
Honestly, critics who are not fans can't tell you how the movie is. The first movie was shaky camera footage, and the second was a couple people in a bunker. The whole series is just incredibly interesting middles with horribly odd endings. If you don't like the randomness of the first two movies, don't watch the third ine, you won't like it. If you love just diving in and not expecting anything but a crazy story, you should love it, too!
