Review of The Broadway Melody (1929) by Bernard A — 22 Feb 2010
An amazing film for its time, one of the earliest film musicals. Pre-code, so you'll see skimpier costumes and more risque behavior than you'd see in the more polished and popular films of the late 1930s and 1940s.
Those interested in historical costuming will enjoy the gowns. And the music ain't half bad neither!
