Review of The Breakfast Club (1985) by Christopher C — 19 May 2016
This movie goes way beyond typical high school archetypes, teen angst, etc. Layered within the movie is a hard look at the schooling system (at least in America) and a commentary it's effects on child development psychology.
Basically young adults who are almost by definition going through one of the most vulnerable stages of their lives are shoved in to the social gladiator arena called "high school", with little or no spiritual or emotional guidance.
