Review of The Boys from Brazil (1978) by Amir G — 04 Oct 2007
What's not to like about a late 70's flick affiliated with mengele, nazi hunters, and hitler clones? the setting is great, and takes place all over the world (germany, austria, brazil, united states, paraguay).
gregory peck plays evil mengele very well. olivier's deptiction of libermann (who is based on wiesenthal) is good, but he is pushing his accent too much and making himself sometimes sound like a poor old man, not what we should expect from a skilled nazi hunter who "located" eichmann.
also, the "hitler" kids are annoying. aside from that, great film. classic. love the "waltz" soundtrack and theme.
