Review of The Book of Eli (2010) by Jordan P — 25 Oct 2012
The best Hughes brother's film ever! I have never seen such great apocalyptic imagery transform and intertwine into sound and emotion both light and dark. That is what this film is: a portrait of what one can do with something so good that they can pursue evil, greed and lust with something so divine.
Or on the other hand, choose to follow what you can not see. This film is a must see for anyone who does not understand how the weak can be prayed upon so easily and how one person of pure heart can do things that no one else can despite the pain, poverty and corruption that lies in the world around him.
Plus it has Gary Oldman, you can never go wrong when Gary Oldman is the fuckin bad guy people! See this fuckin' flick!
