Review of The Big Lebowski (1998) by Indianaparkwars — 08 Aug 2020
This film stands the test of time very well. It is laugh-out-loud funny and has an outrageous messy crime story. The plot is creative and unique. Gangsters attack a man, because he happens to have the same name as the real man they were looking for. After the mishap, he seeks reparations for his rug that was soiled in the process, only to find himself strewn in the mess even further.
The Coen Brothers are masters of their craft, creating a genre-busting film with witty dialogue, comedic irony, subversions of expectation, a perfect soundtrack, and acting that gives life to the characters. If you're looking for a perfect film, try this stoner comedy with a tremendous crime plot.
