Review of The BFG (2016) by Olivia F — 07 Aug 2016
The imaginations of Disney, Roald Dahl and Steven Spielberg finally unite to bring the classic story of Sophie and the BFG to life with visually spectacular results! Mark Rylance's motion-capture performance is 100% the highlight as his emotions and physical movements truly humanize the title character and his interactions with Sophie (Ruby Barnhill in a well-acted film debut).
Of course, the film does feel slow in a few spots, but it's still the sweet cinematic treat that everyone in the family will enjoy.
