Ken Loach's gritty and heart warming film about four offenders has won a Palme d'Or prize at Cannes this year. Although a violent and hard going story there is much humour as they hatch a plan to steal a valuable keg of whisky.

The cast are excellent and there is a really natural feel to the film. Must admit at first I did struggle with the strong Scottish accent but nonetheless it is a great film with a feel good ending of hope for these four characters.
