Review of The 13th Warrior (1999) by Kevin R — 14 Jul 2008
Screenplay based on the book by Michael Crichton that combines Ibn Fadlan's 'historical' account of his life among the Vikings with an imaginative interpretation of how the story of Beowulf could have emerged out of real events.
You would have to know the literature to recognize this, but not to enjoy the movie - its one of my all time favorites.
