Review of Tennessee (2008) by Lester P — 02 Feb 2010
** (out of four).
An earnest and well intentioned drama that can't quite get over its all-too-familiar premise. The acting is fine and the scenery stunning.
Two brothers take a road trip back to Tennessee to find their abusive father to try and get him to donate bone marrow to his dying son. Along the way they pick up a waitress (Mariah Carey) who is on the run from her husband. And wouldn't you know it, she likes to sing.
