Review of Team America: World Police (2004) by Tamás L — 12 Jan 2011
Childish, brutally satiric, obscene, and truly funny.
Sure, if you don't like "explicit lyrics" and the Parker-Stone humour, you'd probably rate this 0. But if you can handle a little irony, it's flawlessly executed.
Script is borrowed from any dime a dozen world crisis film, the shots and timing are those of any cheesy action flick, added with some 80's montages present to this day. Really, it's a clichà (C) catalog just for the fun of it.
Some complain that it has no message. They probably missed the one line that sums up what the creators think about their home country's foreign policy:
" All right, team, that's it, we've got a job to do: Let's go police the world!".
