Review of Taxi Driver (1976) by Tanner B — 30 Apr 2016
Taxi Driver (1976) ????
Robert De Niro gives one of his finest performances in this masterful examination of a desperately isolated man and his crazy idea to "peak" the slime of N.Y.C. Scorsese, cinematographer Michael Chapman, and music composer Bernard Herman (in his final scoring) create an atmospheric touch uncommon with even the best movies of the 1970s. Fascinating, searing, unforgettable. One of the best and most powerful of all films.
