This is martial arts flick for the new generation, with influences and mash-ups from animes, comic books and video games. Plot and characters elements are not original, and I actually missed nothing much without having seen the first movie.
Notable performance from Tony Leung, who being the more senior cast member, brings some acting credibility to film, while Angelababy lends her pretty looks and beady eyes. The result is an entertaining stylised martial arts movie that is just to be enjoyed as it is without any pretension.
