It's hard to feel any pity or love towards Superman since you expect him to be GOD and you also expect his films to be hammy. It is however interesting to see Superman try a more serious and mature approach- and with the threat of death obvious- it makes the action feel like it has weight to it.
It's sad to see films that deserve to be in theaters to be direct to DVD. Perfect? oh hell no- (the ending is a nice great asspull, especially after such an epic fight) but an interesting comicbook film that's worth the watch for DC/Marvel/Image fans.
