Review of Superman: Brainiac Attacks (2006) by Matthew L — 06 Nov 2010
A continuation of the Animated Series, which works on some levels whilst completely falling flat on its face in others. The plot fine, if a little thin to be stretched over 75 minutes and the voice work of Daly, Delany and Henriksen is fine, but Boothe as Luthor just doesn't work.
It may have more to do with the shift in characterization that they have chosen to depict Luthor with. Gone is the cold calculated figure of the Animated series replaced by his wacky comical twin. No bad but not brilliant at the same time.
