Review of SuperFly (2018) by Natasha G — 13 Jun 2018

I enjoyed Superfly. Did it live up to it's namesake? No. But it was entertaining. Trevor Jackson was a great cast. He had swag, he was smooth, he was gorgeous (yum!). I thought some of the other characters were kind of cheesy but, perhaps that was intentional.

I think it should have had a more serious tone considering all that was going on. It was like watching a lengthy music video, however, I enjoyed the music so I was fine with that. I think Director X, Alex Tse, and Future had a high bar to meet and although they didn't quite meet it, they still did a great job.
