Review of Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018) by Lee M — 20 Oct 2018
If you're looking for a proper Suicide Squad film, this is a close as you're going to get (so far). Fast-paced, action-packed and violent with a dash of mature-ish humour, the tone of the film is pretty much spot-on and exactly what you'd expect (and want) from a film about a bunch of tough-to-deal-with, eccentric killers forced into a team together.
It's full of interesting characters and great interactions which means you're never bored. It plays out more like an action/thriller as opposed to your typical superhero film, complete with a few unexpected twists, which is definitely a good thing.
This is one for an older audience and is just a helluva fun time. Once again, it proves that Marvel may be the kings of live-action, but DC is light-years ahead when it comes to animations.
