Review of Suddenly Last Summer (2012) by Rick L — 10 Jun 2007
A haunting film - at least for me - I saw it as a child and had nightmares about the turtles trying to get to the sea. Hepburn and Taylor turn in believable and satisfying performances as the aunt and niece fighting over the memory of Sebastian.
It is gothic and could be risible in other hands. Poor old Monty has to make do with looking good on camera and being an inquisitor - but he does it with such sensitivity, that he is still able to make a quiet mark on the film.
