SUBURBICON: (B+).
Nowhere near the disjointed trainwreck I was expecting. In short, the con of SUBURBICON is that a "race baiting" premise serves as a sidebar to a back bone more sinister. This was indeed, dark... yet I was indeed entertained. It's actually calmly crafted and well paced despite the undertow of panic that belies the whole film. Never mind the crappy reviews... like a good neighbor, Suburbicon is there!
