Review of Stretch (2014) by Matthew F. J — 04 Nov 2014
In the genre crazy ride this film is quite a champion. Driven by a scenario on the lose and filled with more accidents that one could ever bargain over the course of one night a limo driver is seeing his life going from bad to worse when a series of unfortunates event snowball and turn his life into a mad hell.
Chris Pine may find here his best part ever and I mean ever really, while Patrick Wilson is perfect as the unfortunate hero who's night is plagued by so much shit you will find yourself wondering how can a guy put up with so much and still keep his sanity.
anyways welcome to the off the wall world designed by Carnahan who's one of the most interesting director around at the moment. His film is punchy, raunchy and definitely out there between a 'Doom Generation' meets 'Drive' soaked up in a little bit of 'John Wick' and 'Cosmopolis'.
The cocktail is definitely unforgettable.
