Maybe my expectations got a little to high but I wasn't as impressed with Stray Dogs as I'd have liked. Still it's a damn fine film with some of the years most heart wrenching moments, and the use of such sparse dialogue just sort of underlines all the sadness.
I may raise the grade after a second viewing. Not my favorite from Ming Liang, but engaging none the less. He continues to be one of my favorite modern filmmakers.
