The critics panned this film because they expected it to be a psycho fearful film, which it is not. They rated it as such, saying it did not live up to its potential. However, the film is engaging, great acting, great sets, and a spell binding story with a typical Poe-esque plot twist.
I found it highly enjoyable and engaging, and highly recommend it for those who like great drama.
