Review of Stoned (2005) by Emilia — 16 Mar 2008
A little complicated to follow at first, but definitely comes together in the end. If you don't like movies where flashbacks, flashback of flashbacks and flashforwards are utilised simultaneously (and often in a very short span of time) then this is definitely not for you.
A very aesthetically pleasing movie. Lots of bright and psychedelic colours that contrast with some mundane black and white sequences (which are still really interesting). Oh, and lots of crude sex scenes.
I too can't believe I forgot that till last! hahaha. My major grudge was with the final revelation... it made sense, but in terms of historical accuracy it was a little overtly melodramatic. Other than that, top notch movie! Storyline and visual wise :).
