Review of Stone Bros. (2009) by John N — 01 Mar 2010
This is a mish mash and seem to tries to be 'Priscilla' in some ways but doesn't hit the right chord. I felt the racial and spiritual aspects of the film were overplayed with little depth and lacked poignancy.
It didn't play the sociopathic card well enough in an ironic way (aka Beavis and Butthead) so feel all of the things it could be it wasn't. I guess ultimately I was cheering for a film from an Aboriginal perspective that would make me laugh, take me on a journey and leave me thinking.
... maybe next time.
