Review of Stone (2010) by Christopher H — 18 Jan 2011
The chemistry was there. The script was right, and in an odd turn of events De Niro was outshined by two counterparts. In a movie that focused primarily on him, I found De Niro lacking in a lot of places.
Thankfully, Jovovich and Norton took this film on their back every chance they could. The script was amazing and delivered a great story of two desperate men who would do and "do-do" whatever they can to change.
Watch it for Norton alone. The guy isn't given much to do as there is little action, but its the way he gives the words and the expressions on his face that lead you to feel his change. Ed Norton is the perfect actor.
